How to Care for Your Crazy, Curly Hair

Are you dealing with crazy, out of control hair like I have and now you are frazzled? Have you spent countless dollars experimenting with "miracle products? " I know the feeling. Those of us that have struggled with our unpredictable locks should all be paid for our struggle. After a life time of dealing with wild girl hair I can give out a few pointers for my fellow sufferers. We know woman with straight smooth hair are favored, that is why when you see television make overs the first thing they do is straighten our wild girl curls. Not anymore. Be happy with what you were born with and here are some pointers I had to learn the hard way after much criticism over my locks.

First, always use a two in one shampoo and conditioner. Regular shampoo is way too drying. Use sparingly because dry, curly hair depends on our own natural oils. A good brand that is not expensive is TRESemme'. There are a variety of products for all your needs. I have tried them all and they all work well.

Second, use a conditioner intended for curls. The more you use the better. Don't worry about the old cliche of just use on your ends. Run the condition from roots to tips, don't just use on the ends because it is easier for natural hair oil to travel down when you start from the roots and the whole follicle is smoother.

Third step, take a deep condition and use it daily. A good one is John Frieda. Now, do not rinse completely out of your hair, leave some in for moisture and be sure to let it soak in a good 3-4 minutes. You will be amazed at the difference in texture.

The last step is to turn the water on cold and give a good final rinse.

Once you are out of the shower and you have combed through your locks the next step is after shower care. A good leave in hair oil can do wonders. My personal favorite is Morrocan oil it smells wonderful and leaves the hair silky. Finally, a good final spray treatment also infused with Morrocan oils can be the difference between a good result or a great result. If you are serious about healthy hair, never, ever blow dry and avoid the flat iron. There you have it, how to keep your frizz silky.
